Hosted every Wednesday from 5–7 PM in the hotel’s elegant lobby lounge, the series will showcase a dynamic mix of the Pacific Northwest’s top jazz talent, emerging artists, and surprise special guests. Seating is first come, first served — arrive early to secure the best spot.
Crafted in collaboration with nonprofit partner Elevate Unity Inc., The Benson Jazz Revival is about more than music — it’s a celebration of community, connection, and shared experience. Elevate Unity’s mission reflects the heart of the series: to bring people together through unity, inclusiveness, and a love of culture.
Benson Youth Summer Jazz Series.
This summer, the Benson Jazz Revival Series becomes the Benson Youth Summer Jazz Series, a 9-week residency designed to provide high school and college musicians with a high-profile professional performance platform.
The series kicks off on Wednesday, July 1st, and runs through to August 26, giving students the chance to perform in the historic lobby of the Benson.
To support students, Elevate Unity provides:
Professional Production: Full sound support and a house piano on-site.
Hospitality: Complimentary meals and beverages for all performing students.
About the Benson Jazz Revival Series
The Benson Jazz Revival Series, hosted by Elevate Unity, is a live music experience
that brings top-tier local jazz artists to the heart of Portland’s historic Broadway
entertainment district. Taking place at the iconic Benson Hotel, this free, all-ages concert.
The series is designed to revive downtown nightlife with vibrant, accessible jazz
performances that span styles from swing and bossa nova to smooth and modern
jazz.
This series aims to become a signature musical offering in Portland’s cultural
calendar—celebrating jazz, activating downtown, and supporting local artists and
businesses. With community support and strategic partnerships, the Benson Jazz
Revival seeks to be more than an event—it’s a movement toward
